Ávila and Alba de Tormes
Following in the footsteps of Saint Teresa.
The city walls, the Convent of the Incarnation and the tomb of the Saint in Alba de Tormes. A short and highly educational route, linked to the figure of Saint Teresa and sixteenth-century Castile. The short distances between the two towns allow an unhurried programme. It is an easy visit for school and parish groups.

The destination, in detail
The Teresian route allows you to visit in a few days the places where Teresa of Jesus was born, prayed, founded, and died. In Ávila, we visit her birthplace, the Incarnation, and San José; in Alba de Tormes, the basilica and the sepulchre. We usually add Salamanca, with its University and two cathedrals, and the possibility of a guided retreat day with texts by the Saint herself.
