Caminos y Santuarios

Santiago de Compostela

The end of all roads.

The final stages of the French Way and the arrival at the Plaza del Obradoiro: a destination that combines shared effort, silence and celebration. Each day has its own rhythm: the trail, encounters with other pilgrims and personal time to rest. Arriving at the cathedral closes the journey with the most remembered moment of the trip. Depending on the group, full stages can be walked or sections on foot can be alternated with transfers by vehicle.

Suggested length

5 to 8 days

Best season

The destination, in detail

Santiago is the most requested destination by parishes, schools, and youth groups, and also the most misunderstood: it's not just about walking. We prepare stages adjusted to the group's real pace, with a support vehicle for backpacks and for those who need to rest, pre-booked accommodation along the route, and the arrival at the cathedral organized in advance, including booking the celebration when possible. The usual itinerary starts in Sarria and covers the last stages to Compostela, with the option to add Finisterre.

Must-sees

  • Llegada a la Plaza del Obradoiro
  • Misa del Peregrino en la catedral
  • Abrazo al Apóstol y cripta
  • Etapa final desde Monte do Gozo
  • Compostela y credencial sellada
